Asphalt 5 Android App Review

by April 22, 2010

Asphalt-5-in-Game-Play-2The iPhone has had it’s share of really cool 3d application games.  Well it’s time for the Android to get a piece of those 3d apps that just make you look at it in awe.  Asphalt 5 is that game for the Android.  This app is extremely beautiful and  is now available for the Android Phone.  You can get behind the wheel of several vehicles from prestigious manufacturers such as Lamborghini, Kawasaki, and Ford for example. You get to race these vehicles on amazing 3d tracks that are just visually stunning.

Just like any app for a phone, there are pros and cons.  The pros are that the 3d accelerometer racing game is just the best out so far for the Android. One of the best features of this game is that there is multi-player online racing if you and a buddy are connected to the same wifi network.  The game in and of itself is very fun, challenging, and very addictive.  The game has truly amazing graphics that will put your phone’s graphics to the test.  The sound is also very realistic and upbeat to help you cut those corners with adrenaline.  The AI is actually smart in this game and makes good choices instead of stupid ones.  The game data is stored to your SD card and not the internal memory to save space on the actual phone that you use.

The cons are small, but worth noting.  The game play can be slow, jaggy, and not very smooth depending on how robust your phone is that is running the Android Software.  That kind of takes us to the next con, you don’t want to play this game with a lower end Android phone as it is made for the higher end Android phones.

  • 3d Accelerometer game
  • several races
  • winning races wins you cash and upgrades
  • as you progress in the game you get better cars
  • the best 3d game on the market for android

The game offers hours of game play with several levels and the ability to upgrade your cars and have multiplayer capability.  This means if you are connected to the internet, you can literally play with anyone online to make the game much more fun and interesting.

The game costs $6.99 and has been given a 4.5 out of 5 star rating by Android phone users everywhere!  This game has truly set the bar high for 3d games to come out in the future.
