Dolphin Browser Android app Review

by April 2, 2010

dolphinbrowserThe Dolphin Browser Android app is a great way to enhance your web surfing experience.  It is much like the FireFox mobile app in that it syncs you to Google, includes gestures, has bookmarks, lets you download a variety of different videos including YouTube, has multi-touch capabilities for panning and zooming, you can save your information to the SD card to save space, and a multi-tab view.  With all of these added features it makes sense to download this browser and have a lot more options right at your fingertips.

The app also includes a guide on how to save those YouTube videos on your phone without a computer.  This is a very popular section of advice and is great to have on hand if you are on YouTube a lot.  Overall, this is definitely one of the best browser apps for the Android on the market today and the best part is that it is free.  You might as well download it and check it out to see if it works for you because it won’t cost you anything to do it.  You might be pleasantly surprised with what you find.

  • This is one of the better browsers for the web that you can get on the Android.  It has a lot more features than the default browser your Android phone comes with
  • You can use the two fingered pinch option to zoom in on pages, just like you do with the iPhone
  • You get a bunch of defferent recommendations about about Android apps that are included
  • You can open up different tabs on your mobile browser so you can have multiple pages open at once just like you can on your regular computer
  • You can save content and cache information all onto your SD card so it doesn’t take up internal space on the memory of you Android cell phone
  • You can download all kinds of YouTube videos right from the app
  • You can use different gestures as shortcuts for your commands that you are customizing

The Dolphin Browser Android app does a good job of enhancing your browsing ability on your phone.  While the default Google browser that comes with the phone isn’t bad at all, there are a few good features that this browser offers that can make it worth making the switch.  One feature that is great is the ability to have multiple tabs to be able to toggle between a variety of pages at the same time.

Voted 4.5 out of 5 stars by Android app users and is currently free to download.
