MixZing Media Player Android App Review

If you love listening to music on your Android device, this is a great app for you.  The new app is called MixZing Media Player and it is one of the most advanced media player apps around.  There are some amazing features that are included with this app which include: mood player, home screen and lock widgets, mp3 tag editor, automatically download missing art, recommends new music, videos, photos, and genre and video music browsing.

We would like the share the things we like and didn’t like about this app.  The things we liked included the cool mp3 media player for the Android.  We also like that this app provides recommended music both from your library and rhapsody music.  The home screen and lock screen widgets look slick and are easy to operate.  The app is also great about being able to retrieve most missing album art covers.  For each song that the app plays, there is tons of detail on the artist and album.  The app also comes with 10 free downloads with pro.

There is only one thing we didn’t like about the app, and that was the ads.  Of course the app is free to download, but if you want to get rid of the annoying ads, simply upgrade to the Pro version.

  • This media player is one of the coolest looking and extremely easy to use app for the android.
  • The ability for the app to find music that is similar to what your are listening is really nice as you will be exposed to your favorite music, as well as new music that you may have never heard before.
  • The app comes complete with an MP3 tag editor
  • You can also use any of the songs as a ring tone, and it has the ability to download lost cover art for all of your music.
  • The free version does have ads that show, but to get rid of the ads, simply buy the Pro version.

This app is a great media player with an easy to use interface with several features that make it worth it.  If you love listening to music on your phone, and what a complete comprehensive app that can do it, this is the app to get for your android device.  The Pro version even brings up the lyrics of the songs so you can sing along.

This app is free, or $6.99 for the pro version. This app has gotten 3 out of 5 stars.

TowerMadness iPhone app Review

  • This little tower defense app has some pretty incredible graphics that are all in 3D.  Although it can be blocky at times, it does a good job of highlighting the landscape and making the details stand out
  • You can also toggle between a few different camera angles including a first person view and also an aerial view to be able to view the entire scene
  • You will have to defeat over 16 different enemies.  Each enemy will have different strengths and weaknesses and you will have to use different towers to take them down
  • You will have 9 different weapons that you can use to destroy your enemies and each of these will have five different upgrades.  You can use the Laser Cannon, the Mortar, the Guided Missiles, the Railgun, the ElectroSlow, the ElectroShock, the Flak, and also the ElectroBoost
  • There also is one weapon that is far superior and advanced to all of the other weapons. This weapon is the Nuke!
  • You can also purchase some other special weapons with wealth that you have attained while playing the game.  You can buy the proximity mine, the Flamethrower, and also the Flash Bait
  • This app also has a wide array of different environments that you can play in.  There are actually 30 different maps that take place in the desert, in the woods, and also in the snow
  • You can purchase expansion packs for this game that include the marshes as well as even some environments that take place on the moon!  There is a lot of variety in this game
  • There is an endless mode that you can play in to see how long you can withstand all of the waves of enemies that are coming your way.  This is a fun way to see how skilled you are at the usage of the weapons
  • You can also go and view all of the leader boards and see who the top players are.  These leader boards are broken down into daily, weekly, and even monthly rankings to see who is hot right now
  • If you want you can even watch replays of games in order to learn some new strategies and see what you could have done better
  • You can also share your games with your friends and family through the use of Facebook, Twitter and also just through your email

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to create your own roller coaster?  You could give it as many drop offs, flips, and rolls as you wanted.  With the AirCoaster XL you can do just that.  You will be able to enjoy a cool 3D experience as you virtually fly over the rails and ramps of the track that you have created.  You can use the track editor to rotate, zoom and pan, and also tweak and move over every section of the roller coaster that you have created.  Once you have made all of the corrections and edits that you want to, you can strap in and go on a virtual ride!  If you don’t really like making your own tracks but love riding them then you can always go to the Community tab and just download tracks that have already been created.  You will have thousands to choose from and you can rate them and give feedback to the editors.

  • One of the cool things about this app is that it actually comes in two different versions.  One for the iPad, and the other for the iPhone and the iPod Touch.  Pretty much you get two complete apps all for the price of one
  • You will be able to customize and create your very own roller coasters in this game.  You can decide to either create the conventional coasters or you can try your hand at the inverted roller coasters
  • There is a cool sensor mode that you can turn on and off that will actually make you feel like you are in a real roller coaster!  This little virtual experience is very immersive and will use the compass and the accelerometer to deliver a very real life experience
  • If you want you can throw on your little red and blue glasses that are used for three dimensional videos and you can enjoy the rides you have created in a very cool stereoscopic third dimension
  • There are thousands of other roller coaster fans that have downloaded this game and they are all a part of the online community.  This way you can interact with them and give and share ideas on your favorite roller coaster ideas
  • This app is frequently being updated so that you can get new features each and every time.  When the new iPhone comes out there will be a huge update with a ton of new features to be offered!

  • This app has a variety of different features including the ability to see the call display and also to see what the voicemail indicator says.  You can see if you have messages waiting to be opened
  • There is also the option to use the speakerphone when you don’t have any free hands available.  You can also mute any calls that come in or put them on hold until you have time to talk to them
  • There is an accurate call history that will give you a complete list of all of the contacts that you have received, missed, and dialed
  • You can also add contacts to lists and to the favorites section.  That way you can have a business contact section as well as a personal friend and family contact section
  • There are a multitude of ringtones that you can access as well as avatars for all of your contacts if you so desire
  • You can also customize and personalize the app by putting a custom wallpaper on the background.  That way it will feel more inviting and welcoming

  • While using the multiple call section you can swap between two active calls or you can merge the calls so everybody is on the same line
  • You can get the call transfer as well as different audio code compatibility

In the Super QuickHook iPhone app you will have to try and conquer the infamous Eagle Mountain while using your handy little grappling hook.  You will see all kinds of scenes, from frosty fields to caves full of volcanic lava.  Race against your friends to try and get away from the avalanche and enjoy your time playing this little app.

  • In this game you will have to look for and find some loot that is scattered through the game to be able to upgrade your character and get even better equipment
  • As you move through the game you will be able to unlock all kinds of things including the Nightmare levels.  You will also be able to get some cool hats and new and improved equipment
  • You can also check out the leaderboards that are available and see what kinds of medals you’ve gotten for each of the levels as well as what your stats are
  • As you play the game you will find out that there are over 66 different achievements that you can find, and most of them are entirely based around you exploring the levels and happening upon them
  • There is a duel system where you can actually see the ghosts of you friends and then you can choose to race them around the level
  • There are three different game modes that you can participate in.  These include the Avalanche Mode, the Infinite mode, and also the Random mode
  • In the avalanche mode you will have to try and get out of a roaring wall of snow alive.  The avalanche will follow you down the mountain and you will have to see how long you can stay alive
  • There are over 60 different sections that you can access and most all of these sections have their own unique secret paths that you can try and find
  • You will love all of the different landscapes that are available and how varied all of the geography is
  • There is unique and original artwork for all of the different levels in the game and each has its own set of challenges that you will have to try and overcome
  • There are also a lot of different easter eggs and secrets to find in each of the levels in the game
  • You have the ability to customize and personalize all of your characters.  You can show off all of your upgrades and the gear you have picked up along the way
  • The levels and the exploration methods have been hand crafted to perfection
  • There are over 18 different levels in this game that you will be able to explore.  They each have paths and hidden levels.  The newer updates of the game will come with new levels as well.

Conclusion:

This app has been given a perfect 5 star rating when you look at the reviews off of the iTunes store.  The game also only costs around $1.99 to download onto your iPhone.

  • This game has a lot of different tracks that you can play on in order to keep the game fresh and exciting.  There are over 17 different tracks that you will be able to compete on
  • Within these 17 different tracks you will find four main environments.  These environments include the desert, the jungle, the snow, and of course the Tarmac
  • As you play the game and complete tracks you can unlock other cars.  There are 9 different cars to unlock in the game and they all have turbos on them to help speed things up
  • Even though this is reminiscent of the old 16 bit racer games, you will love the draft physics that have been included in this game.  It just adds to the fun of the gameplay
  • The graphics in the game are completely retro and they are mixed a bit with some of the 3D effects that have made game so fun to play.  Kind of a cool mix int this game
  • As you play you can collect coins that you can use to upgrade your car and make it even faster.  This will help you beat the AI players and be the top racer in the game
  • This game has leaderboards that you can check out as well as achievements that you can collect.  You can get awards for stellar performances and fast times
  • There are three different levels of difficulty that you can try out to test your racing skills and prove that you really are the best
  • The AI players in this game are actually very smart and you will find that they are not always that easy to beat.  You will have to practice and sharpen your skills to be able to beat all of them
  • In every track you will find that there are a lot of different shortcuts that you can take to beat your competitors.  Many of them are secrets so you will have to try and find them all
  • You can even go off ramps in the game to get some serious hang time and fling your car around the track
  • You can squish the characters when you land on them and they are constantly terrified as your cars go around the track
  • You will love the soundtracks and the sound effects that come along with the game

Conclusion:

This little racer app will take you back to the days before the flashy new gaming consoles and will let you enjoy good old fashioned arcade racing.  It is very simple to pick up and play so gamers of all ages will likely enjoy playing it.  The controls are easy to use and there is also social networking integration so you can play against your friends on Twitter and Facebook.  This is a 16 bit racer that has an over the head camera view.  It also adds a bit of humor and personality in the midst of all of the racing action.  Overall it is a decent game to download for only a dollar.

  • One of the best things about the app is the intuitive use of the controls and gameplay.  You really only have to use the one-click feature to be able to keep progressing in the game and it makes for a thoughtful adventure
  • As you go through the game you will find that there are hundred of different quotes and sayings that are meant to inspire you and help you along in your journey.  These saying can either be inspiring or they can also be very comical, depending on who is saying it
  • Overall, you will have to become the Doodle God and bring peace and harmony to the world through an epic journey that you will go on.  Discover the roles of all the elements and how they play into each part of the game

Conclusion:

This game has received some mixed reviews.  Many people have praised it for its ability to bring some amazing artwork and graphics to life.  The animations are smooth and exciting and the storyline is fresh.  Also, the sound in the game really helps to add to the theme that the game is trying to portray.  The only real gripe with this app is that it is not integrated with Open Feint or any other system like that so you can’t check out Leaderboards or get any kinds of trophies or awards.  Overall, a pretty addictive game and hard to put down.

Sigma iPhone App Review

The game of Sigma has been heralded by many game players from all around.  The game is a fantastic puzzle game that keeps players challenged and on the edge of their seats for more.  The new Sigma iphone app has just come out and it has already been received with a huge response and satisfied players.  The point of the game is to independently spin two columns of blocks on either side of the screen.  Simple tap on either side of the screen to send blocks back and forth across the screen.  Once a match has been created, you will have a couple of seconds to tag additional blocks on the cluster before the whole thing goes crazy! If you are a beginner creating horizontal or vertical match threes, or an expert setting up massive clusters, the experience of the game is like none other and will keep you hooked for a lot of playability.

The iphone makes this game really come to life with its stunning graphics and its ability to  be able to throw in 3d elements to really make the blocks pop out at you.  This game is very fun and has a lot of life to it as it will keep you coming back for more often.

  • The game also allows for leader board upload and the ability to share scores and high points with friends

This is a fun game that uses the iphones capabilities in a fun way to produce a colorful and fluid game.  If you like puzzles, this is the game for you as it will keep you coming back for more and more to keep things interesting.

George A. Romero’s App of the Dead iPhone App Review

Many people are anticipating the latest feature from George A. Romero’s survival of the dead, which is hitting theaters soon.  Because so many people are looking forward to this next installment, there has been an app created which cn make you the director, allowing you to turn your friends and family into the most twisted, ghoulish zombies around.  The app is called George A Romero’s App of the Dead for the iPhone and iPad.

The game allows you to take pictures or import photos from existing galleries and bring them to zombie status with gross scars and bloody wounds.  The really cool thing about this app is that you can take pictures and then easily and quickly turn them into disgusting zombie like pictures.  Once you have effectively turned your friends and families photos into zombies, you can then put them down the good old fashioned way.  The App allows you to enter a first person shooter mode to shoot your zombies and make them more dead than they look.  You can then save the photos of the carnage and make them part of your own undead slide show to show your friends and family what you would do to them if they were actually a zombie roaming around causing havoc.

  • you can use the app to take pictures of your friends, or you can import pictures of them from the photo gallery
  • you can then add up to over 20 zombie features, including open wounds, weapons, and a gallery of deformed eyes and mouths
  • There is a custom built in engine that allows you to shoot the zombies you just created, which has a great looking blood splatter
  • you can then save the dead zombies that you just killed to your iphone  or email them to friends to show them what you would do to them if  they were in reality zombies

This is a fun app to switch things up by using your camera on your phone in a very different way.  Its fun to be able to quickly take a photo of your friend that you are with and turn them into a zombie.  Then you can easily take your rage out on them on your phone and shoot them up and make sure that their zombie self is good and dead.  You can then remember this moment with a saved picture.

Conclusion:

This app costs $1.99 and has been given 3 out of 5 stars.
